Da ich nur sehr wenig Zeit in Salzburg verbringen konnte, war diese E-Bike Tour ideal.
Ich bekam einen sehr umfangreichen Gesamteindruck dieser außergewöhnlichen Stadt. Zu so gut wie jedem Thema konnte man sich ausführlich näher unterhalten. (zB Sport: das Surfertreff, Veganismus, Architektur: Trapphaus, das Original und die Häuser aus den Filmen, Prominenz und geschichtlich Wissenswertes,...)
Wir hatten auch vom Wetter her viel Glück. Für mich war es das erste Mal mit einem E-Bike, es gab eine sehr gute Einschulung, einen passenden Helm und immer die Möglichkeit die Tour individuell anzupassen.

This tour was a highlight of my trip to Salzburg and I highly recommend it. You bike through stunning locations while seeing all the most interesting sound of music sites. John has a lot of knowledge to share about the film and the area in general. It is 100% worth it over the more well known tours because you go to more locations, you ride better bikes, it's a private group, and the length/locations are flexible. If it's warm enough, make sure to take a dip in the canal.

My family and I highly recommend this e-bike tour! John was outstanding even before we booked our tour, giving some advice of things we should do and see while in the Salzburg area. John also took the time to make sure that our family was the right fit for his tour and that he was the right guide for us. Even before we arrived in Austria, he had sent me several valuable pieces of information that helped us make it a wonderful vacation.

The tour began with a safety briefing, which I really appreciated. It was a very thorough tour of the surrounding countryside with a lot of incredible views and photographic points of interest. It was generally informative as well as being a wonderful Sound of Music Tour. John took us to multiple locations where various scenes were shot in the movie. He even showed us some short clips of the movie on his phone in some of the places where we were standing in the exact location of where they were filmed!

I would recommend this tour with John if you are ever in the Salzburg area!

We had a fantastic time on this private tour with John last week. It’s comprehensive and fascinating whether you’re a Sound of Music fan or not. We were impressed with John’s depth of knowledge about the movie and passion for sharing it. He was also able to supplement that with his knowledge about Salzburg in general, so much so that when we finished we felt that we had gotten a “2 for 1” tour! Riding around town on new, state of the art e-bikes allowed us to cover a lot of ground (literally and figuratively) quite comfortably and seemed to be a unique offering as compared to other bike tours in town! If you are looking for a fun, private activity with a kind and engaging host in Salzburg then look no further!

We had a great bike tour with John! He was helpful and informative in setting up our tour. He was also flexible and accommodating and worked with us to provide a tour that was just what we were looking for! We did not want a Sound of Music tour exclusively, rather an e-bike tour of Salzburg with some Sound of Music info as well. We had a great day riding and laughing with John. He was knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for Salzburg and Austria was contagious! We would highly recommend a tour with John!

We had a wonderful private bike tour with John last week. John is very safety conscious and informative. We arranged for a pickup and drop off in his new van, a nice treat.
During the trip, John showed us all the wonderful spots around Salzburg and his knowledge about the sound of music was great. We circled all of Salzburg and he pointed out the locations of the movie. He also gave us ideas of other places to visit and eat in Salzburg. The e-bikes are high quality and they made the trip very nice. I think we traveled 40 kilometers during the day, but the e-bike made it a breeze. We also passed multiple other bike tours that day, each with between 12-22 bikes in the group! Our tour was much more intimate. If you are in Salzburg and are looking for a full day bike tour, John is your person!

We cannot say enough good things about our bike tour with John! The bikes were new and easy to ride. We saw all the Sound of Music sites and learned so much! The beautiful Austrian country side was an amazing backdrop! This is one of the coolest things we've ever done! John is very safe and keeps you safe and he is very knowledgeable! We had a really fun day on the tour. John kindly picked us up and dropped us back to our accommodation which made the day easy, especially as we returned after dark. You really do get bang for your buck on John’s tour!
John is a knowledgable and entertaining guide and his easy-going style made it feel like we were being shown around by an old friend. As well as the filming stories and locations, an interesting addition to this tour is hearing more about the real Von Trapp family.
The e-bikes are high quality and a dream to ride. It is a great way to explore the green areas surrounding the city, especially if you have limited time in Salzburg.
