Best tour we did on our 16 day Europe adventure. Hallstatt and sound of music was outstanding. Elvis the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on all topic ranging from the sound of music to Austrian history and the city of Salzburg. The Sound of Music / Hallstatt tour was the perfect tour for us at an unbeatable price, the right amount of touring and detail about The Sound of Music sites, the history, updates, etc - coupled with a fabulous visit to Hallstat, with such gorgeous scenery!

Bruno, our guide, was engaging and well-informed, a local with deep knowledge of the area. The vehicle was clean and well maintained, and Bruno was super punctual (including the hotel pickup!). He was a skilled and careful driver, great communicator, and was thoughtful in his suggestions for the tour and for our time in Hallstatt.

Eva was wonderful! We only had 6 people on our tour which meant we had a really great environment to ask questions, chat, and can go where a lot of the other large tour groups can’t. We went into the Austrian mountains & countryside, doing a full loop through the lake areas — gorgeous! Would book with this company again in heartbeat! We saw the Sound of Music filming locations but also learned a lot about the history of Salzburg. Great tour!

Franziska was our tour guide and she was excellent: knowledgeable and personable. She provided us not only with some history behind the making of The Sound of Music as well as the real people the movie was based on, but about Salzburg as well. It was an interesting tour of sites both in and outside of Salzburg. I liked seeing St Gilgen and Mondsee, as well as the countryside. She drove us through some winding country roads allowing us a view of beautiful villages and hillside. I appreciated our small group size and the fact we toured in an 8 passenger minivan rather than a huge sightseeing bus. Highly recommend!

The tour was great. It not only focused on the Sound of Music but our wonderful guide Eva also talked about the history of Salzburg. Being in a small group was also nice, less waiting to get on and off like on yhe big coach busses. We were also able to go up in the mountains with amazing views and passed through many charming towns.

Jonathan was our guide for the Sound of Music and Hallstat tour. We went in early January of 2024 and had a great time. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable and was a wonderful guide. The tour takes you all around to show you many places that are related to the Sound of Music while also pointing out other noticeable sites along the way. Many of the sites you just see from the van, and a few you stop and get out or take a look. There is a good bit of driving to and from Hallstat, but the time goes by quickly. Several hours to explore Hallstat on your own.

I really enjoyed this tour, especially that it was in a small group, in a van and not in a large bus with 50+ people.

We had the most wonderful day on The Sound of Music/Hallstatt tour with our excellent guide Eva today. My mother and I both loved the tour. It was a small group which meant we could ask plenty questions and ensured that we had the best trip possible.
